Reviewing
Conflicts
A conflict happens when two contributors suggest changes to the same part of your document.
How you'll know
Conflicting suggestions show a warning indicator on their change pills. This tells you that the suggestions overlap — accepting one may affect the other.
What to do
- Preview both suggestions by hovering or clicking each pill
- Compare them to understand what each contributor is proposing
- Choose one to accept, or reject both and write your own version
When multiple suggestions target the same text, Stet can show a grouped preview with each contributor's version side by side, making comparison easier.
After resolving
Once you accept one conflicting suggestion, the other may no longer apply cleanly to your document since the text it was based on has changed. Refresh the suggestions panel to see the updated state.
Conflicts are normal
Conflicts simply mean multiple people had ideas about the same part of your document. They're a sign of active collaboration, not a problem to worry about.
