Reviewing

Reviewing a Change

Each suggestion is a proposed edit to your document. Here's how to evaluate and act on one.

Seeing the preview

Suggestions appear as small pills floating along the right edge of your editor, lined up with the spot in your document where the change would go.

In the preview, additions appear with a green background and deletions show as red strikethrough text.

Your two options

Accept

Applies the change to your document immediately. The suggestion disappears and your file is updated with the new content. You can also press Option+Cmd+A.

Reject

Dismisses the suggestion permanently. It won't come back, even if you refresh or reopen the app. Use this when you've considered the change and decided against it. You can also press Option+Cmd+R.

If a suggestion has the right idea but the wrong wording, accept it and then edit the text yourself, or reject it and leave an AI note asking your agent for a different version.

The right rail

The rail to the right of your document has three modes: Changes, Review, and Comments. Pick one at the top of the rail. The left sidebar stays navigation only, so your decisions all live on one side.

Selecting a row in Changes or Review jumps to the same pinned preview you get from clicking a pill. Accept and Reject stay attached to the row and to the pill, so you can decide from either place without losing your spot.

Moving through changes

Review > Next Change and Previous Change step through the suggestions in a file, and Accept All in File decides a whole file at once.

If anything significant is pending, accept-all stops to tell you so before it proceeds. It names what it found. You can go look, or accept anyway, but you won't clear a changed number by reflex.

Previewing multiple changes

Each contributor's bubble in the suggestions panel has an eye button that pins every one of their changes as inline previews at once. Clicking the bubble itself goes further and focuses the whole app on that contributor — see Viewing One Editor's Changes.
